Finca Maravillosa is a tastefully furnished holiday home with a romantic atmosphere and a gorgeous pool in the idyllic garden of the large property right at the Tramuntana Mountains.
Particularly recommendable for lovers of tranquility, who love the solitude, but want to know the pretty village Esporles with its lovely cafes and lively bustle nearby.
Location
In the midst of unspoiled nature, away from tourist areas and city life, this idyllic country house is situated on the foot of the mountains close to Esporles.
Esporles is a small village in north-west of the island and is famous for its exceptionally beautiful old mansions, which already can be seen on the way to the property.
Wonderful attractions lie in the immediate environment: For example, the famous mountain village of Valldemossa, with its beautiful monastery, the playful gardens and the picturesque village center. For a winters time the world-famous composer Frederic Chopin and his lover George Sand found refuge here.
Only slightly further, the charming village of artists, Deiá, is located at the beautiful coast road. Set up around a rock and equipped with a simple village church, it is still one of the most charming villages of Majorca, with many nice restaurants where you can recover from a trip.
The capital, Palma, as well as the nearest sandy beaches can be reached in about 20 minutes. Romantic rocky bays can be reached via a few serpentines in about 15 minutes.
By car, the trip from the airport to the beautiful property via the ring road (Via Cintura) takes about 30 minutes.
Facilities
The wonderful stone house set amid the stunning landscape of the Tramuntana Mountains is a true haven of tranquility.
Finca Maravillosa lies on a property of 40,000 m² and offers spacious living areas of 300 m² for 6 to 7 people. Additional beds can be set up on request.
The fully equipped kitchen and adjoining dining room with direct access to the outdoor terrace offer plenty of space for quality time in the company of loved ones with delicious food and good wine. For additional romantic ambience a crackling fire can be ignited in the fireplace of the adjacent living room. Through the large panoramic window you have a magnificent view of the Tramuntana Mountains.
Finca Maravillosa offers four bedrooms.
There are two bedrooms with two single beds which can be assembled into double beds (90 cm x 190 cm and 90 cm x 200 cm) and share a bathroom with a spacious shower, toilet and wash basin. On the same floor there is a small, third bedroom with a single bed (90 cm x 200 cm), ideal for a child or an individual. This room shares the bathroom with the other two rooms. In addition, on the same level there is a guest bathroom with toilet and a wash basin.
The master bedroom at the end of the hall has a large double bed with two mattresses to each 110 cm x 200 cm and a Mediterranean en-suite bathroom with tub, shower, separate toilet and a large vanity with two sinks.
The upper floor with a beautiful gallery, which can be used as a space for yoga can be reached via a staircase. On this level there is also another sitting area with TV.
In the outdoor area with pool (6 mx 12 m) you can relax wonderfully while having a beautiful view of the imposing mountain range. Pool deepness 30 to 155 cm.
If there are children, they are welcome to explore the tree house located on the property. Parents will be asked to supervise their children. Liability is at your their own risk.
leisure activities
For hikers Esporles is the ideal base to explore the Tramuntana Mountains.
Not to be missed is the magnificent country house "La Granja". The former farm is now a museum of local history and landscape, in which the Majorcan lifestyle of the past centuries is presented. At the end of the tour through the museum there is a free sample of Majorcan delicacies like shortbread cookies made with home-made jams, Majorcan cheese or its delicious sobrasada sausage. There are also different wines ready for tasting.
The nearby bays "Port of Canonge" and "Cala de Deiá" are at approximately 15 to 20 minutes distance. The sandy beaches of Palma can be reached in about half an hour.
Local cuisine can be enjoyed in Restaurant Meson de la Villa Esporles. Sophisticated meat dishes such as lamb and suckling pig as well as a great list of wine are offered.
