What makes it special

Romantic and traditional village house, idyllically situated and with typical Majorcan charm. In the garden there are beautiful terraces and arcades as well as many beautiful spots to relax.

The Casa des Forn is the ideal base for everyone who wants to discover the real Mallorca.

Galilea is popular with cyclists and hikers.

Location

From the airport it is about 30 - 40 minutes drive to Galilea. The very pretty mountain village is located in the Southwest of the island just below the mountain Galatzo (1025m). The location is biblical, the tranquility divine.

Virtually untouched by tourism there are only two restaurants in Galilea as well as a small grocery store for basic needs. In the next village Puigpunyent, which can be reached by car in approximately 10 minutes there are cafés, restaurants, a pharmacy, a banc and some more shopping opportunities.

The closest beaches, Peguera, Santa Ponca and Palma Nova are about 20 minutes away.

The landscape is particularly interesting for hikers, mountain bikers and road cyclists.

Facilities

The Casa des Forn is located on a 500 m2 property, 320 m2 of which are laid out as a small, enchanted garden with lots of terrace areas, which extend around the holiday home.

The living space is spread over a total of 180 m2. In the lower part of the house there is a large lounge with comfortable sofas and a well-equipped traditional Majorcan kitchen with large dining table. The kitchen opens directly onto a terrace where you can have a lovely breakfast or romantic dinner. A small studio with a cozy fireplace offers another retreat in the ground floor of the finca.

In the upper area of the house there are three bedrooms, which share one bathroom. The master bedroom has a double bed (150 x 190 cm) and offers a private terrace. The second room also has a double bed (150 x 190 cm). Next to it there is a bedroom with a single bed (90 x 180 cm). Upon request additional sleeping space can be created.

Throughout the house there is free internet.

leisure activities

Not far from Galilea, in the neighboring village Puigpunyent there is a large wildlife reserve named "La Reserva" with waterfalls and wild animals.

About 8 km behind Puigpunyent, to be reached via a beautiful winding road, you can visit the beautiful country house "La Granja", a former estate.

Today it is a museum of local history and landscape, in which the Majorcan lifestyle of the past centuries is presented. At the end of the tour through the museum there is always a free sample if Majorcan delicacies like potato fritters made ​​with homemade marmalade, fig bread and cheese or tasty sobrasada sausage.

The nearest golf courses are Son Vida, Santa Ponsa or Andratx, about 20 - 25 minute drive away.

The holiday home is equipped with electric heating and therefore also suitable for cooler months.

A security deposit of euro 300,- has to be paid upon arrival and will be refunded with departure.
